WHAT's BEEN GROWING IN YOUR GARDEN?
DEAR BROTHER's, SISTER's, and FRIENDS.
I've NEVER ACTUALLY SPENT MUCH TIME GARDENING, but one thing I do know is that several factors are required in order to produce the desired results. You'll need seeds, soil, water, and, of course, a little sunshine. Some enemies to avoid for a healthy garden would be weeds, which not only take up space but also contend for nutrients in the soil, thus robbing the actual seed of getting what it needs. Then there are the thorns, which can also choke the seed and render it unfruitful. Not to mention the assortment of pests, including wild animals, who prefer to explore the garden, and can cause havoc on our efforts. (Read Mark chapter 4: 1-3,7,9-10,13-14,18-19 (KJV), and MATTHEW 13:38-39). "(a hint.) The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares (weeds) are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil".
Interestingly enough, in both cases, whether it's a thorn or a weed (tare), both will have a harmful effect on the seed. Weeds are not something or someone, that Christians need around them, because nothing beneficial will emerge from their influence. Weeds and thorns prevent seeds from reaching their full potential.
Do you have any weeds or thorns that need to be removed in YOUR GARDEN?
I'm referring to the garden inside of you---the heart that houses your body. I'm curious how many Christians have been lured back into their previous lifestyle of living for themselves and no longer go to church due to a "weed" in your garden. (Your Life).
Bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33).
When you choose the wrong company, it will easily quench your appetite for GOD's WORD, presence, and will for your life.
Why do we walk with folks who are not sold out to GOD, COMMITTED TO A LOCAL CHURCH, UNASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL, AND HAVE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE on OTHERS?
They will prevent us from becoming and doing everything that GOD JEHOVAH has called us to be and accomplish. Holding such a one close by can only choke or smoother our passion for the LORD, as well as cause us to lose faith and confidence in GOD's WORD.
Is the trade-off we're looking for?
NOTE: If your spouse (married) is not saved, don't abandon them; instead, continue to pray for them and stand in the gap.
The LORD JESUS knows just how to reach deep within their hearts, and if necessary, He'll send someone into their lives who they will listen to. Don't lose heart! Be encourage! The LORD JESUS is not through with them and has not given up either!
DO YOU REMEMBER HOW WE SOW THE WORD?
WE SAY IT OUT LOUD. In Psalms 45:1, David says, "My tongue is the pen of a ready writer". This means is that what comes out of our mouths is what's being written upon the tables of our hearts. This now affects our belief system. If we forward this, then what fills our hearts will eventually fill our mouths too.
Remember what people say about us does not define who we are until we accept their words into our hearts and act upon them It's our mouths that are notorious for getting us into trouble. So, if we want to see and enjoy what God has promised us, then we must keep HIS WORD hidden with-in our hearts. this is where seeds are planted and flourish.
TIME TO WEED THE GARDEN, MAYBE YOUR GARDEN:
Here's a representative list of some of the most common weeds that invade a person's heart and can drastically have a negative impact on their faith and walk with GOD JEHOVAH. As you look and go through the list, be honest with yourself. No one but you will know the truth. Identify any weeds that need to be removed, eliminated from your heart. They are listed in no particular order.
1)unforgiveness, 2) slander, 3) obscenity, 4) resentment, 5) worry, 6) doubt ,7) disobedience ,8) bitterness ,9) dishonesty, 10) deceitful heart ,11) impatience ,12) lying, 13) gossip ,14) greed, 15) unbelief ,16) no fear of GOD, 17) ingratitude, 18) hatred, 19) envy ,20) fighting ,21) sowing discord ,22) critical spirit ,23) entitlement ,24) rage ,25) materialistic ,26) immortality ,27) pride, 28) animosity, 29) sin, 30) argumentative.
So, what's been growing in your heart, anything?
The garden we're wanting is unlikely to be the one that we end up with if we allow thorns and weeds to take old of us. It's reality no-one's fault but our own if we allow the unwanted weeds and thorns to enter in and take hold what Jehovah God has planted and ruin the crop of goodness to grow.
I pray that the LORD JESUS would show you right now what needs to be plucked out (no-matter how much it hurts or how hard it will be), so what God has chosen for you will grow and you can have the life you wished for in due time. (HIS TIME). AMEN.
