I am posting this for two weeks. Not many will fast but feel free to do so if the Lord has given you this grace. Prayer never stops. People hurting are not limited to unscheduled days. In the midst of busy preparations and family & friends rushing in & bustling about, take several moments of pausing and praying for those the Holy Spirit reminds you of. We are to pray without ceasing always communicating with the Lord , yet moments of pausing & deliberate attention is beneficial not only to those we pray for but also to the soul & spirit of the one praying. May this holyday season be blessed with Christ, not only the gift He was but the Savior He is.
My first request is Muffin. she is not eating much & lethargic for several days, & this morning vomiting. it can be a stress thing because we were gone for so long with Jims surgery day. Montel does not like her & he was here with her. or it could be more serious, even cancer. (I read this in the symptoms & diagnoses on the internet) Also it could be her teeth which she is loosing gradually. They could be causing an infection. I have started treating her with coconut oil an oregano oil yesterday to fight the infection and I will give her lemon water to help today. God has blessed her through pray many times so I ask for prayer for her. thank you.
Robert, to be free from alcohol
James to be free from all drugs, he gets out on the 31st
Carie to find a car, and stay clean from drugs
Rob to continue his sobriety. PTL its been 11 months. time for a girlfriend as he is starting to consider one. pray for one of God's choosing.
Mike, to come to the Lord. and justice will be served.
For people with arthritis Os & RA. the winter weather can take a toll on them. Diane, Lisa, Bobbi, me, ( I think Cheryl & others too)
For people with dementia & Alzheimer's, that this will be a happy time for them & their families. Pat R., Allen, more you know
For broken families, for restoration and forgiveness, for healing of wounds and bringing home lost & wandering children. for Love to increase.
For renewal of faith in the people we know , home & internet, from forum & FB, that they are inspired to draw even closer to Jesus. To remember their first love. We all can grow closer than where we are.
Pray for safety for those traveling. Bren & her son, Mary B, Linda & John, Family coming in that we have heard.
Pray for those with terminal illnesses, cancer & Parkinson's, MS & others. the names here are endless.
Pray for God's grace & Blessings on the prayer warriors, for their spouses & families, for health, for finances, for safety, for peace of mind & spiritual high places in their relationship with the Lord.
For the homeless to be fed & warmed and to know Jesus and Lord and Savior.
for Rachel's move into her new apt. she has been approved, needs one available. Praise the Lord.
For health issues for Linda & Phil, Cheryl & Galion, Anney & Allen, Bren, Sho, Lynne & Sam, Bird & family. any here you are reminded of.
for Jim to keep his weight restrictions and to be approved to be off of work til 19th of Jan. and he will be able to catch up on lighter projects arouns the home as he wants to do.
pray for Montel to no be so self absorbed and to fined Christ's ways as something to be embraced.

As I posted this in prayer. we received a call from the jail from Mike. He gives a different version. said he & Alicia been fighting for a while and the 11 year old daughter & he got into a fight a month ago and he confined her to her room. They sold the house & had just got the finances for it, Alicia took it out and transferred it into her private account. She has a history of greed in the past & had viciously taken all he had the last time they broke up. Mike says what he is being accused of is not true and the Lawyer told him there was no DNA found on the girl so he would take his case. We do not know the truth but God does, what ever it is, pray God will have Truth and Justice in this situation. This is the first time we have heard from him in 3 years since he disowned us. he called us because as he said he had no one else to call. Jim told him that the battle was not physical but spiritual. Praying for salvation for Mike.

I can't remember if I've shared here about Emalee, my granddaughter,lately...please forgive me for the repetition. Her last genetic test for Muscular Dystrophy (MD) came back negative...which we are grateful and happy about. But we still don't know what's wrong with her. So her PCP has ordered an MRI to be done on her head/neck on Tuesday, 12/26/17. An MRI of her head/neck was never done when this started back in late February of this year. Depending on if the MRI shows nothing, they will be doing a nerve conduction test on 12/29/17. Thank you!!

My daughter’s sweater caught fire while cooking supper last night She was able to get it out but has 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her back. The ER sent her to the Richmond Burn Center where she is getting a skin graft. Please keep her in prayer. I’m just thankful that it wasn’t worse.
Please say a prayer for Dorothy's Mom. On Tuesday she was trying to help a friend navigate in the dining room and they both went down and she fell on top of her and her mom broke her arm at the shoulder.

update from Joy on her cancer·
Health Update: over the past month I’ve been having discomfort in my abdomen and swelling in my stomach. I notified my doctor and he moved my January CT scan to yesterday. When we saw him afterwards he told us that the new chemo is not working and the cancer has metastasized to my liver. There is no other medical intervention that will help cure the cancer. I will be having a procedure tomorrow that will remove the fluid from my stomach. This procedure will have to be repeated as the fluid will build up again. The doctor also recommended choosing a hospice. He feels that my life expectancy will be 4 weeks to 4 months. I really don’t think I need to worry about the 4 week estimate. I don’t feel bad except for the fluid accumulation.
But we aren’t giving up either. I am going on the Ketogenic Diet for Cancer. I started it today but I may have to cheat on Christmas Eve for some of Grandma Pamela DeMoss’ pineapple cake. I’ll post a link to it ( the ketogenic diet, not the cake) in the comments after this post.
In the meantime, we are in good spirits. Knowing what the future holds, even with death, is very reassuring. As one friend told me upon hearing my news, “You’ll get to see Him first!” And another friend told me, “There’s still time for the rapture.”
Dave is taking some time off work and we will be visiting West Virginia family after Christmas. We hope to make a Pennsylvania trip in a month or so to visit friends and family there.
We are doing fine for now but do request your prayers

Deb Stephansen From one of my Facebook friends: Prayer Request..Prayer warriors. I have been cancer free for over 3 yrs..and I know how blessed I am and I thank God for everyday I wake up, every Holiday I live to see.. Will be having another surgery December 27 going in the hospital on the 26 to repair some of the damage that was done from removing the cancer. This will be the 3rd surgery to correct this problem praying the Lord will just bless the surgeon's hands fingers and let this be the last surgery that I have to have for this problem. Now to add insult to injury last Friday while I was doing my Santa duties I fell broke my shoulder and had three staples in my head..Shoulder is healing well no surgery expected..but recovery is going to be a bit more difficult. There is a lot of pain the shoulder is broken in three places..

Thanks for praying for Muffin, what a cold day we had. high 10 above. we kept the car running and burned up some gas. She was fine and enjoyed 4 chicken nuggets for her lunch. but then she would not eat anything afterwards. what worries me is she loves pears. can eat up a bunch rapidly ( a whole pear & looking for more). she turned them down. I can see a slight improvements, but her appetite has not come back yet. she may be less lethargic by 20 % leaving 80 % if the time still sleeping. She was only 5 % active when I first posted for prayer and would not eat over a couple of bites. so even though I see improvement , she still has a way to go to be back to normal.
I had a 17 year old basset hound & shepherd dog mix my sister pawned on us. he was a stubborn old guy. yet when he died it was quick. he went out the dog door in the garage and when Jim went around by the pen, hearing him go out, he looked over and saw him laying dead. fast, heart attack. less than 10 mins. top. I asked God when it was time for her to go, that she would have the same quick leave so she would not suffer. But if this is time to be healed she would continue to make progress.
I love how God has loved me enough to include my dog in his plans.

typing this one handed. holding my hen Sophia, it looks like Kansas, my rooster got rough and she has a2 inch gash on her back, I have washed her with Epsom Salts anD PUT ORIGANO OIL IN HER WOUND. jim is going to try to put in a couple stitches, he had to take montel to work. I am holding her, pray e know what to do for her 7 for how to keep Kansas from doing this again. Cheryl if you read this & have any advice, please share, thanks

Sophia had 2 gashes, one on each side. she is doing alright so far. We have her in a separate pen healing before we turn her loose and put her in Kansas' reach. We glued her skin and that seemed to do good, read online to do this but leave a small section unglued so if there was any seeping it could drain. The other side looks like an older wound, the skin was growing over the gap about the size of a quarter. there was a small portion still open and we glued it, but left the healing gap do its thing. Pray for no infections. And that we can figure out how to not let this happen again. short of getting rid of my rooster. He really is a good protector and friendly with us.
pray for Cheryl's daughter Stephanie. she was taken yesterday to emergency room with heart pains. will update when I hear more.
pray for pastor O'Brian's daughter. 6 years old, has leukemia
pray for my friend Bobbi. still in pain. she had a dream where the Lord said for her to get her house in order. She turns 70 on Jan 1st.

Pray for the homeless, it is so cold out there. Asking God to warm up the temperatures quickly. that this cold spell will reverse and start having higher temps. Lord car for those with out homes. keep them warm.

Update on Cheryl's daughter - Stephanie - They did two EKGs last night. On the second one, they saw something and it appears part of Steph's heart is not getting sufficient blood flow.
They gave her something last and told her she needed to make a follow up appointment with her doctor.
She went ahead and insisted on going to work today, but as some of you know, she is a nurse and works in the family clinic at the Indian hospital. They are not fully staffed with doctors due to the holidays, so more nurses than doctors, which should make for a light day. And maybe being at the hospital will be the best place for her.
This is Jailen's 2nd full day since Wednesday's knee surgery and he Is in in some pain, but his appetite is coming back. He's lying on the couch playing on the tablet. Another grand is watching TV, the three littles are outside (in the cold) and Elijah and Teamer are in their rooms. It truly is a three ring circus around here. (Melissa, dil, has the littlest little one. Thank goodness!
Jenny and David drove down today and are in town picking up groceries and feed for us. (Gailen has to stay here, as he or one of the big boys has to help Jailen to the bathroom. )
I apologize for this being long, but this is my first break since 7:00 this morning. If we have an emergency, I will take time to post or call someone who can. Otherwise, I'm not sure when I'll get another opportunity.

Darlene's husband Lorenzo is still in hospital. having the cath taken out today. will update when i hear more. I have asked her for more details and hope to get a response sometime today.
Jim is having digestion problems since his surgery. Seems he cannot eat as large of portions as he use to and at dinner he experiences some discomfort finishing his meal , but he does finish it. I will have to limit his plate myself because he thinks he can just sit back a minute and finish it off. Pray this all will subside.

muffin still is not eating. she is drinking. she has lost 4 pounds. down to 7. I do not like where this is going. I am not ready for this. prayed all night and slept little, she cuddled into me and slept as close as she could get.. pray for us. I am afraid to leave her along for too long. we have to go out tomorrow & meet a couple for dinner. sigh, she should stay home where it is warm. this is so hard. thanks for your prayers

Thank you today Muffin was more alert. we had to leaver her at home alone twice and was gone about 2 1/2 hrs each time. When we returned she was excited to see us like normal and ran to the door wanting to be picked up. She also was cleaning herself today. However ate very little but did eat something 1 time. still praying for her and asking God's favor. Than you for the prayers.

Muffin's eating has lessened again, she is not as perky, need food to have energy. Not eating enough to go to bathroom so hanging her tail down today. On a positive note she jumped off the bed herself this morning and was washing herself before. She has slept the last 8 hours steady. I just woke her and stirred her a little but she is wanting to go back to sleep. Her vet appt is for tomorrow at 1 pm. Praying there is some wisdom and vet not looking for the $$$ from us. (this area is a vet money maker with all the Retirees ) Also pray they will be able to tell us what is going on & can do this without keeping her over night. The separation would be worse on her. Thank you

Bren Rogers - Need prayers...we were supposed to drive home 12.30.17. But we are stuck in AZ with car problems. Fixed one priblem and had another isdue...fixed that issue and had another part break due to age of car....ordered part got it installed fuxed and now something completely different system of car broke. I think this car needs replaced....not sure what well do...taking it in tomorrow for diagnosis....PRAYING for best solution...even if that means getting a different car. Need divine intervention for best solution.

Deb Stephansen - Brother's housing situation is at critical stage. need a solution by the 7th or 8th...update on Shelley-she had to go to the hospital, she has pneumonia, was in ICU, not sure if she is on dialysis, too, but is in a regular rooms. prayer request is for her not to give up, and continued improvement. if there are anymore updates, I will add. Praise that I made it through Christmas, and it was very nice. then I got the flu, but better now. it seems to be all over. my daughter's inlaws got it 4x as bad as I did. pray it doesn't spread please. safe travels for those traveling back. For the people of Iran and Pres Trump and all the leaders, wisdom and safety. For my niece, whose husband left her and for a long time friend and former missionary sister in the Lord whose husband also left her and their kids a year ago, but many of us didn't know, they are in Alaska..Thank you all!!

Vet was enlightening. Muffin must have gotten into something that was toxic. her liver enzymes were not right. Every part of the blood test that would pertain to her liver showed damages. Everything else she was tested for was good. no cancer shown on liver on the ultrasound. We have to put her on supplements and special dog food for her liver. The problem is she is picky eater. But this may be fixable according to the vet. He is not sure but we are tying. With GOD it is fixable. Pray for healing and for her to eat this expensive food. (love it, desire it, want it) The battle is not over yet. he wants to check her in a month
Bobbi is having another CT scan wed at 5:30am
Montel to get his license
Jim to return to work on the right day for his heath (8th or 12th.)

praying today as I work over this list.
Muffin has good days and bad days, she has been easting a little better. One day she even ate 4 meals, one her pears before bed. She gets confused and has peed on the floor twice, she is very needy of my being here for her. I think her being blind makes her more insecure. I can deal with this as long as she is healthy. not peeing on the floor would be nice too :) Thank you for the continued prayer. I am expecting miracles.

Emalee's test turned out normal and she is scheduled for the nerve conduction test on the 29th. Will remind everyone to pray as it gets closer. Please pray that the Lord heals this little girl. praying for you guys and for Muffin.
