THE WISDOM of WAITING ON GOD JEHOVAH: by MommaDee;
During hard times, it's easy to wonder why the Lord is taking soooo long to bring relief. We'll cry and cry for help, we'll plead with God, and still nothing, but as time drags on, we may loose hope for answers and be tempted to take matters into our own hands.
Believers please DON'T do that. Don't give up hope, because we're not to operate as the world does, determining a course of action based on the world and actions of the world around us.
DON'T BE STUPID LIKE I WAS ONCE!
1)I didn't think all kinds of people were watching me walking my walk with Jehovah God. Believer's and non-believer's alike. I was walking well with God, (so as I thought) and there was a problem in my life. I thought I could do it my way. I lost so much, I was ashamed of myself for not trusting God. I made such a mess of things. To this day I don't know if I cause a very dear friend who just became a believer to walk away from Jesus. I still pray for that person to this very moment.
2)Even though my walk with God seem to be solid, I found out very fast, how Satan will try to destroy that relationship between you and God and will do it, in a heart-beat!
3)I only wished now that I would have had patients and trust in "HIS WORD", I may have been able to keep a part of me from going through (seemed like it) a life time of mountain climbing, back into a closeness with my Father Jehovah God.
OUR GUIDANCE is to come from God, and our HOPE is to be in HIS WORD (Psalm 130: 5-6).
It's important that we learn to cooperate with HIM so the time we spend waiting upon HIM, will prove productive and beneficial. This way we'll learn the ways that sin and the behavior of sin , and or our thinking minds , rather be sinful thought's or not, will choose what is right. Waiting on God can reveal our own heart's attitude. Will have an opportunity to develop a stronger bond and trust for OUR God Jehovah. And when we follow God's timetable, He gives us the grace to endure difficult situations with confidence and peace. It's a blessing that we can learn and "We" therefore can help the lost and show them the right way to go. Waiting can provide an opportunity to deepen not only our trust and our dependence on HIM, but will rub off on those that we mentor.
PATIENCE and TRUST: by Pastor Charles Stanley (In Touch).
Trusting in the Lord is easy when life is pleasant and running smoothly. However, when circumstances are not as we desire, our confidence in God can become shaky. Yet even in difficult times, He guides us and helps us through.
God wants us to cultivate faithfulness to Him in every circumstance. To do this, we MUST commit to HIS way instead of getting frustrated or trying to manipulate things to get our own way. While it would be easy for us to become anxious or angry with our situation, God wants HIS children to rest in HIM with a peaceful spirit. That IS possible when WE confidently believe He's in control and will arrange things for OUR OWN GOOD and HIS GLORY.
When we are patient and wait for HIS perfect will to unfold and keep our focus on JESUS and faithfully continue doing whatever He trusted us to do. In the end, HIS delays give us a chance to develop CHRISTLIKE character and show the world what JESUS' transforming power can bring about in those who belong to HIM.
