LET'S SLOW DOWN and READ.
TRY TAKING "ONE DAY at a TIME";
The Bible gives clear rules for some situations, but for other situations, we may not know how to proceed.
Perhaps you're one of them?
So unsure whether to look for a new job or pursue a certain friendship, or just maybe you can't tell if a desire is selfish or good. What a dilemma.
Should I seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness OR, just do what I think feels right?
When we're not sure what to do in a certain situation, Jesus' words become our compass:
Narrow your eyesight to this day, and moment by moment seek HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness. What it looks like may vary from one day to the next. Make very sure when you honor Christ, you'll be making your thought process out of a decision, allowing room for the "HOLY SPIRIT" to guide your heart.
However there are many people who believe that piling up "good works" makes them right with the Lord Jesus. Yet the only payment for sin that can satisfy divine justice is "death" (Roman 6:23). The "good works" is what we're to do, but it doesn't save us. That's why when we accept OUR SAVIOR'S sacrifice as payment for our sins, (dying on the cross); we are permanently adopted into the heavenly FATHER'S family. And someday we'll be with Christ to enjoy life everlasting.
But remember this, " There are many committed followers of Jesus Christ who are focused on pleasing Jehovah God and growing in faith. But others who "IDENTIFY" as Christians don't concern themselves with spiritual matters at all and instead retain a "CARNAL" mindset.
This can happen when people start "COMPROMISING" their convictions.
When a believer loosens his grip on God's Word, he or she, may disobey a command or refuse to believe a certain truth. Or he or she may simply stop "READING the SCRIPTURE". Sooner or later, something in society "WILL" sooner or later appeal to them, and as they fixates on it, their time and resources are consumed. Slowly this "new love" wins their affection away from the Lord Jesus.
After a while, other aspects of the culture that once appeared detestable to them, don't seem so bad- the believer may dabble and eventually indulge in them with abandonment. Inevitably, his or her witness will be undermined because neither one's conduct and character is fitting for a man/woman of faith.
At times "UNGODLY" people appear to triumph over the righteous, and it makes us scratch our heads, wondering why the Lord doesn't intervene.
In our own life, we can see God's plan and actions only from the limited vantage point of our humanness. Often the Lord's goals and purposes are hidden from us until His plans come to fruition. We may wonder at the turns our life takes, but we can be certain God is sovereign over all the earth. The wicked may triumph for a season, but the final victory belongs to Christ and His righteous followers.
Doesn't it sometimes seem that certain people never face consequences for their sin?
There are certain things we'll never understand, because the Lord's knowledge is higher than ours. But we do know God's character-He is slow to anger, longsuffering, and patient. We also know He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished (Numbers 14:18). The consequences for sin are rarely immediate or visible, but they will come-if not now, then in eternity.
The only way to be rescued from righteous divine judgment, is to run to the "Judge" for refuge-something no criminal would ever do in a human court. God's judgment for your sins has been poured out on the Savior, who took the punishment in our place.
If you will by "FAITH" trust in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on your behalf, you can be declared "NOT GUILTY".
Now think about this for a moment: It can be sobering to think about life as a "field that we planted".
What type of seed did you choose to plant?
What if we selected the wrong seed, but didn't realize it until years later, when we're standing in a field filled with mature "plants" that are causing us pain and difficulty?
Sowing and reaping is a principle we cannot change; it's a reality of how our world works. The attitudes and actions we sow now will produce more of the same later, so what will we choose to plant?
The "GOOD NEWS" is that we can always change seeds. If we want a life that others see as a godly harvest, then we must plant the Spirit's seeds and lean on Him always to cultivate His fruit.
And there's one more thing ; " HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT LIKE THIS" I can't take this anymore or I give up!
These phrases have the power to change the direction of our life.
1) Satan and His Angels. Through their involvement, we can be tempted to stop waiting on GOD JEHOVAH for solutions and instead, seek our own way of doing things.
2) Remember once again; Ungodly people are always ready to give believers advice. WE need God's wisdom, not ours and not certainly theirs!
3) Our own flesh can trip us up by, do what "FEEL's" good, and how can this benefit me.
If you have ever thought about giving up; I'm sure one of these ungodly tricks of our flesh, tickled ears syndrome, or just listening to the wrong inter-voice has caused much confusion and pain through out your life. I'm truly sorry that you had to endure it.
But let me tell you, GOD JEHOVAH has good purpose for the trials He allows in our life: They produce perseverance that helps to mature us as Christians. When we look at things from that perspective, we can actually "consider it all joy" to have struggles ( James 1:2-4). Trust that He's in control of our trials and will provide all we need in order to endure (1Cor.10:13).
I pray what has been written here, will not go void, but give insight and encouragement to those that are seeking truth and salvation. With many prayers I write this to you by the "HOLY SPIRITS" power. God Bless.
