NOTE: I WANT YOU TO KNOW I HAVE 2 MORE SITE'S NOW YOU CAN CHECH OUT. "FROM the HEART AND FUNNY PLACE".
1)TRIAL by FIRE: READ, (JAMES 1:1-12) "GOD SEES HER"
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the LORD has promised to those who LOVE HIM. (JAMES 1:12)
Did you know that an entire grove of slender, white-trunked aspen trees can grow from a single seed and share the same root system?
These root systems can exist for thousands of years whether or not they produce trees. They sleep underground, waiting for fire, flood, or avalanche to clear a space for them. After a natural disaster has cleared the land, aspen roots can sense the sun at last. The roots send up saplings, which become trees.
For aspens, new growth is made possible by the devastation of a natural disaster. James writes that our growth in faith is also made possible by difficulties. " Consider it pure joy", he writes, "whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:2-4). And that leads to maturity.
It's difficult to be joyful during trials, but we can take hope from the fact that GOD will use difficult circumstances to help us reach maturity. Like aspen trees, faith can grow in times of trial when difficulty clears space in our hearts for the light of GOD to touch us.
2)WHAT KIND of SAVIOR IS HE? READ, (JOHN6:47-51, 60-66
"From this time many of His disciples turned back and no longer followed HIM". (JOHN 6:66).
Last year, friends and I prayed for healing for three women battling cancer. We knew GOD had the power to heal. We had seen Him work in the past and believed He could do it again. There were days in each one's battle when healing looked like it was a reality, and we rejoiced. But they all died that fall. The loss hurt deeply. We wanted Him to heal them all-here and now- but no miracle came.
Some people followed Jesus for the miracles He performed and to get their needs met (John 6:2, 26). Some simply saw Him as the carpenter's son (Matthew 13:55-58), and others expected Him to be their political leader (Like 19:37-38). Some thought of Him as a great teacher (Matthew 7:28-29), while others quit following Him because His teaching was hard to understand (John 6:66).
Jesus still doesn't always meet our expectations. Yet He is so much more than we can imagine! He's the provider of eternal life (vv.47-48). He is good and wise; and He loves, forgives, and brings
us comfort. May we find rest in Jesus and keep following Him.
3)THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK, READ, (Psalm 141)
"Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalm 141:3).
Cheung and his family had planned to round out their holiday in Japan with a scrumptious meal before catching the flight home. But his wife failed to check directions to the restaurant, so they had to miss that meal. Frustrated, Cheung criticized his wife for her poor planning.
Later Cheung realized he had been too harsh, plus he realized he could have checked the directions himself. And he knew he should have thanked his wife for planning the entire vacation.
Many of us can identify with Cheung. When angry, we let words fly without control. That's why we need to pray as the psalmist did: "Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips" (Psalm 141:3).
HERE'S A HELPFUL TIP: "THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK". Are your words good and helpful, gracious, and kind ? (Ephesians 4:29-32).
Setting a guard over our mouth requires that we stay quiet when we're irritated and that we seek the Lord's help to say the right words with the right tone. Thankfully, Jehovah God helps us to say the right words with the right tone. Thankfully, God is working in us, giving us "the desire and the power to do what please HIM" (Philippians 2:13 NLT).
