HE WALKS with ME; READ: (COLOSSIANS 2:1-7 "NKJV")).
LEARNING TO WALK IS JUST ONE STEP AWAY FROM FALLING. That's why venturing out on two unsteady legs can be frightening to a very young child. Yet children keep at it until walking becomes second nature.
This is similar to learning to "walk" as a Christian. We put our faith into practice one step at a time. Pastor and author F.B. Meyer explains, " We receive Jesus into our hearts by faith... In the same manner we must live always and everywhere, receiving from HIM, by faith, grace upon grace, and allowing what HE works in to work out in all manner of godliness, tenderness, and Christlikeness. This practice of looking to Jesus for grace in every circumstance of life tends to become more and more habitual.
Paul urged believers to live by faith so they would become firmly established in their walk with Christ (COLOSSIANS 2:6-7). We do that by focusing our thoughts on HIM: what HE has done, what HE is doing now, and what HE will do for us. We take a risk by depending completely on HIM, obeying HIS commands, and putting HIS teaching into practice.
Walking with Christ may sometimes be frightening, but it is the only way to make progress in our spiritual development.
Are you walking with HIM today? (YOU CAN NOT RUN THE RACE PROPERLY UNTIL YOU LEARN TO WALK)!
GOD SEES HER: (MATTHEW 14:22-33, JOHN 14:15-26).
JESUS REACHED OUT/A CONSTANT HELPER.
Sometimes life gets busy---classes are hard, work is exhausting, the bathroom needs to be cleaned, and a date is on the day's schedule. It gets to the point where I force myself to read the Bible for a few minutes a day and tell myself I'll spend more time with God Jehovah next week. But it doesn't take long before I'm distracted. drowning in the day's tasks, and forget to ask God for help of any kind. And I often feel as it I have to make it up to God after being distracted.
But that's now how Jehovah God works. As soon as we turn to HIM for help, Jesus reaches out, without hesitation.
When we're unsettled by the chaos of life, it's easy to forget that GOD is with us in the middle of the storm. No matter what I AM/ we're going through, HE is there.
Jesus knew we would gain a new kind of connection with Jehovah GOD through the HOLY SPIRIT. This SPIRIT would be a moment-by-moment helper---a teacher and guide who would not only live with ME/US but also be in us (JOHN 14:17,26).
Are you facing something that exceeds your own strength and ability?
You can depend on the SPIRIT's constant help. GOD's SPIRIT working in us/you will bring HIM the glory HE deserves.
LEARN to TRUST!
Learning to trust is important in building faith. We live on a trust basis every day. We trust the motorman of a train, the driver of a bus, taxi, the pilot of an airplane. We put our lives completely into the hands of those men. And what's funny, we are quite willing to do so, for we have blind faith in them to take us anywhere.
Here we are on this earth, a whirling island in the sky.
Our lives are in the hands of Someone who directs its orbits and laws. Whether we like it or not, we are wholly dependent upon GOD, so we must trust HIM. And we must trust HIM without giving it a thought.
But how may we trust GOD in life's daily affairs?
One way it is to know and love GOD. We trust human beings whom we know and love. And when you know GOD, HIS goodness, kindness and faithfulness, you will trust HIM, for you will love HIM. HE will fulfill your trust. HE will never let you down.
Do the best you can about everything and trust the outcome to GOD. Confidently trust HIM to handle things beyond your efforts. HE knows the facts. Every day, especially when you feel uncertain, try saying the following to your self:
1) I put my life in GOD's hands.
2) I will trust GOD's guidance.
3)I leave the outcome to GOD.
Live close to GOD. Believe that HE has the answers to your perplexities. The closer you live to HIM the more sensitively will you pick up HIS thoughts for you. This will create in you a profound confidence. This will build up your faith.
