Looking forward to the next Holy Day, here are some sites I found. I need to prepare for 4, one following close behind the other. ( the fourth one would not fit in the subject title) Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) September 10,11. www.thoughtco.com/feast-of-trumpets-700184 Day Of Atonement (Yom Kippur) Sept 19www.thoughtco.com/day-of-atonement-700180 Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) Sept. 24-30www.thoughtco.com/feast-of-tabernacles-700181Followed quickly by Rejoicing in the Torah (Simchat Torah) October 2
www.thoughtco.com/what-is-simchat-torah-2076494Its a month of honoring God! No wonder Satan invented Halloween. This will take some time to prepare my (our) heart(s) and mind(s), I am glad I was led to look ahead today. There is a lot to digest. Little by little I (we) will get this into Me (us), I hope you are interested in following along as you were for Pentecost. This is a deeper new journey for Jim & I as we have only Celebrated Passover & twice over the years we have observed Tabernacles. (Other Days we observed sporadically, not consistent), But I we are not as familiar with the customs in Tabernacles and the rest as we are of Passover (which we have observed for 30 some years). To our shame we have waited so long to move forward on keeping God's Holy Days. We now are beginning. Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.

After a lot of youtube presentations on the Feast of Trumpets/ Rosh Hashanah, i feel more confused than before I started. A lot of traditions, a lot of prophetic revelations about the Lords birth & His return, touches on judgement & repentance and a lot of New Year celebrations, wow. I am praying for the Lord to direct me. I like the written one I gave LINK TO. IT IS more clear to me than the youtube. Yet after spending all day at this, I have got a lot of things stuck in my head of some of what to do. For I caught on that they eat apples & honey, they light candles & repentance for last year. I will have to digest this and pray. I wish some one could just write a how to step by step approach but for this day. I have not found it. keep me in Your prayers. being a Christian I am not coming from a background of Jewish (or Messianic Jewish) traditions.

Good afternoon. Praise God, we have come to some sort of plan for this year. If we need to change anything we will know and grow as we move from year to year. This is the plan we are doing. you may have different ideas and that is ok. It is our hearts the Lord is looking at.
Besides the link I had two books at the house I read which I incorporated things in them. I find out that not two books or sites seem to celebrate it in the same manner, however some of the basics remain in all. Books: THE FEASTS OF ISRAEL by Kevin J. Conner & THE JEWISH HOLIDAY'S by Michael Strassfield.
There are 4 New Years in the Jewish calendar. This one is the celebration of the New Year of the creation of the world. Its a time of reflection and getting right with God & ourselves. We often know how we should be in mind but do very little to promote the change in our hearts. This is why we have come to these days to take the time with God The Father, Jesus (Y'shua) Christ the Son & the Holy Spirit.
Feel free to use this as your guideline & change what ever feels right to you and your families.
FEAST of TRUMPETS - ROSH HA SHANAH

DAY of ATONEMENT - Yom Kippur
From Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur mark the “Days of Awe.” During this ten-day period, Jews “forgive others, give to those in need, and confess sins in order to secure their names in the Book of Life for another year,
The Days of Awe end with a 25 hour fast and a Sabbath rest called Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement. This day was when God provided atonement for the sins of the Israelites.
The observance of the Day of Atonement is recorded in the Old Testament book of Leviticus 16:8-34; 23:27-32.
However, at the very moment when Jesus died on the cross, Matthew 27:51 says, "the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split." (NKJV)
Hebrews chapters 8 and 9 beautifully explain how Jesus Christ became our High Priest and entered heaven (the Holy of Holies), once and for all, not by the blood of sacrificial animals, but by his own precious blood on the cross. Christ himself was the atoning sacrifice for our sins; thus, he obtained for us eternal redemption. As believers, we accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of Yom Kippur, the final atonement for sin.
This being Truth, nonetheless, Jesus also observed the fall holy day season, including the Feast of Tabernacles (See John chapter 7). In fact, the New Testament Church began on an annual Sabbath—Pentecost. Read the second chapter of the book of Acts in your Bible. The Day of Atonement is referred to in Acts 27:9 as “the Fast,” because the Day was observed by fasting to humble oneself before God.
On the Day of Atonement, Christians humble themselves before God remembering the awesome sacrifice of the Lamb of God, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, whose blood atoned for our sins. The Hebrew word for Atonement, kapar, literally means “to cover over.” Our death penalty has been paid for us, and our sins have been buried, or “covered over.”
The Day of Atonement also looks forward to the time when the whole world will have the same opportunity for forgiveness and reconciliation. That future time, tomorrow’s world, will usher in the rulership of the King of kings, Jesus of Nazareth—a time when all peoples and nations will submit to the Kingdom of God on earth. The Day of Atonement also signifies the time when the god of this world, Satan the devil (Ephesians 2:2) will be expelled and restrained for a thousand years. It is a supremely important and meaningful day to Christians.
Everyone needs forgiveness, because everyone has sinned. We urge you to deeply examine your life. Jesus and the apostles commanded everyone to repent and believe the Gospel. One major emphasis of the true gospel is that our forgiveness is made possible through the sacrifice of Christ and His shed blood. On the Day of Atonement, we deeply consider all that this day pictures in regard to our own personal lives now, as well as in tomorrow’s world when peace will be established and humanity will be at one with God.
The question for us as Christians is—how do we celebrate a holiday in which the whole point of it is to make atonement for sins—when we know Jesus has already made that ultimate atonement for us?
Knowing Jesus displayed our atonement on the cross.” Rather than us trying to atone for another year’s sins, we as Christians can celebrate what Christ has already done for us.
Feinberg shares 3 great ways we can do this. This will be the guideline we will follow on this day. I will be adding after these how we will incorporate personal ideas for our household.
First, you can extend radical forgiveness. Just as Jesus has given us grace, we too can extend grace and heal broken relationships during Yom Kippur. “When you don't have the grace or strength to forgive, ask God to supply both of those in greater measure,” says Feinberg.
Second, you can consider fasting for a meal or entire day. During your time of fasting, spend time praying and meditating on the gifts God has given us, not only meeting our physical needs, but our spiritual needs in Jesus.
Third, you can gather your family and friends for a tashlich ceremony. In Jewish culture, during this ceremony the people of the synagogue go down to a local stream or river and empty their pockets of crumbs, symbolizing sins being washed away. Why not do that and celebrate that Christ has once and for all washed away all your sins?
Our Plan for this Day
Day 1 : Fast begins at sunset.
Read all the above along with scriptures for a focus of understanding.
Share what Christ has done for you this past 10 days, how you have been forgiven for your sins and how you are being changed.
Read the book of Jonah
Offer thanksgiving for what Christ has done for us.
Day 2 :
Radical Forgiveness: Read Matthew 6: 12; 14,15; Matthew 18:21-35
First in prayer & settling the matter in the heart. Then reach out and forgive others. Mend broken relationships. (use the earlier part of the day to complete this, if you cannot make physical contact write a letter & mail it. If you cannot physically mend it, because the person is no where to be found by you, then confess it to a brother or sister in the Lord and give it to God.)
We will take a second walk to the stream, since we already did this in the feast of trumpets we are using this time to remember again Christ atonement for us, and ponder on our Baptism, Surrendering our lives once again to Him. Asking the Holy Spirit to fill us a fresh with the power to love & forgive in our daily walk. Pondering on living waters of Christ.
At sunset, break fasting: eat oatmeal & fruit. Start fresh and run the race

Our take on the guideline to Feast of Trumpets / Rosh Hashanah.
Last night the references I wrote for "sunset day 2" were too much . each one we felt would be a bible study in itself. To see the correlations between the old & new testament is a good thing yet each would take a deeper look at and require more time. (Least that's how we found it to be last night, if it worked for you great.) We are seeking a new portion of scripture for this time slot so when we do it next year it will be have a smoother flow with the rest of the passages we read over the past day.
As for the rest of the time we have been blessed. we were able to revisit our salvation day, the day we were washed clean and decided to follow Jesus. We examined our last year and seen some of the things we need to change, repented and looking forward to being victorious, with Christs help, this coming year. We were each shown a person who we have hardened our hearts to unknowingly, repented and forgave them and let it go.
Today we look forward to Christ return with anticipation. Happy to know our hearts have been softened by His gentle work in us. Once again we walk thru this coming year being Yoked to Jesus. to learn of him and how to walk as He did when on earth.
For the next 10 days we will be examining our Spiritual natures, to see if there is any wrong doctrine in us that we must let go of. To be sure we have not compromised Gods words in any way. A time for wiping clean what we think we know to have a refreshing of what is true. The Lord will never leave us empty but fill us with truth and love. For this reason I am not afraid of cleansing my spiritual doctrine like I have been cleansed of my worldliness. I do not deliberately want to walk in error and teach others to do the same by my testimonies.
This is not the first time we have visited a Spiritual doctrine cleansing. even though at this time of year we have not sought to do it on a yearly basis. But sitting under teachers who are men can pass along untruths and it is wise to examine what you have allowed. Here is a couple of thing we had to be cleansed of in the past. This is to give you an example of what this is about if you never have done it before. 1) we sat in a church who got into giving personal prophecy. It got so they would prophesize over people who came to the prophetic meetings to get a word of direction. It did not take long for people to rely on this instead of fervent prayer and going to God themselves. It was a form of fortune telling with a holy name. Now I believe there will be times God will give you something for another person, but that comes from the direction of the Holy Spirit and not lining up to have some one suman's up a word for you. I also believe you can ask someone to pray about something and they could come back with what the Lord laid on their heart for you. I also believe in prophecy for the church given by those with that gift. But This church even began to hold classes on how to prophesize! Needless to say leaving that church and doctrine behind was a spiritual cleansing. Because we walked with them for a shot time before we began to question it. 2) This was more recently, the statement that was going around was to "forgive because it sets us free". But the truth is to forgive because it releases the other person as Christ released you from your sins. Not a selfish act but a giving act. Yes it will set your free but it is not the reason to forgive. It is in obedience to Jesus that we forgive. It is following His example that we forgive. It is in a healthy fear of God that we forgive. The error was in doing it to help yourself , an all about me act.
As you go thru the next 10 days, let God show you what you may have picked up that is an error and Let the Spirit set your back on the course of truth.
Be Blessed & Be a blessing.
BTW I fixed some errors in the scriptures we found on the actual guideline I wrote out. will be in red
