I feel sad tonight, my 4 year old hen died. I brought her inside cuz she could not move much & had shallow breathing. put her in a comfy box, she was alive but not able to stand, just lay. I played soft ChristMas instrumental music for her as she slowly drifted away after 8 hours. I think after finding my cat, Israel, dead 2 days ago, I could not bare for her to die with out attention. she was a good hen & provided us a lot of green eggs. Her name was Charity.
weather mild in 30's . going up to 38 tomorrow. a little snow tonight and 4 hrs of sleet come morning. Pray for Jim's safety. He has to go to work and praying he does not go get propane for the other house in the morning. its a 30 mile trip from our home. Needs to wait a day. Let this icy pass.
