I am really encouraged today. Even though our temps are dropping to single numbers at night and the next few day staying low in single number and minuses, I looked ahead to what is forecasted for March! to my surprise they are saying we could have temps in the 40's & even the 50's . woowoo! that is only 6 weeks away! Yes I am for it. Thank You Lord for gentle seasons, You are faithful when we ask.
Not complaining about time moving fast in the winter. but has anyone else noticed how rapidly we are moving thru the calendar?
Had some women over yesterday to make Crisco fragrant candles. it was a good day we made a bunch of them, I made 8 and I think most of the ladies made from 4-8 also. depending on the size of jar we used. I used a lot of small ones but some were as big as jelly jars, (4 oz to pint size) It was a good day and lots of fun. the flame in the candles do not burn bright, stays low lit, but they burn long and are fragrant. We colored them with crayons melted in the Crisco. painted the lids and wha-la pretty display. Nice idea for gifts.
I find today I am really tired. LOL
I will be posting the international prayer list later today. I may nap first.
My devotional today let me to this passage taken from "The Voice" I looked it up at gateway and there were several variation to this passage but one thing remains. God is good and I need to get right at any cost . :)
Ps 119: 65-68
You have handled Your servant well,
O Eternal One, as You promised.
Help me to learn good judgment and knowledge
because I believe Your commandments.
Before I had trouble, I strayed from the true path, the path of righteousness,
but now I live according to Your word.
You are truly good, and Your acts are too;
teach me what You require.
