So often we forget in this day with all our advanced medical technology that God still has a plan for believers health and for nonbelievers health to come to believe in Him. There so much in the area of disease and medicine that it sometimes can weaken our faith. i know my mind has personally battled this weakening. Yet i am reminded the God is the same yesterday, today & forever. He does not change. i also know there are consequences for our wrong choices. If i choose to eat wrong things, once i know they are bad for me, i pay the price, i gain weight, i develope IBS, or digestion issues. Heartburn and the like. Thank God He is a forgiving Father and if it is not onto my death, it can be reversed.
There is a time in the Bible which tells us that *Elisha had a illness that was for his death. We all will have an end to our life in this world and one of the ways into the kingdom is thru disease. We can discuss this more in these pages in the future. Some may not agree with me, but this is ok too, i am not an expert, just one seeking as all of you are.
We are all on private journey's through this world and I do not know what your path looks like. I do believe in all things God will use for Good in us. My daughter spends her days in a wheelchair and claims that she has come to know the Lord more personally through her stroke and fears she would not have gained this relationship had the stroke never happened. So this is not to say everyone will find healing. What I am purposing to do in this forum, is to open our minds to believe "all things are possible with God". Yet like Joni Ericson Tada, we must come to peace with whatever place we find ourselves in. Some of us will be healed. Some of us will find peace & accept we are more easily used by God through our infirmities. Either way, God gets the glory. No condemnation comes to those who God has on a different path.
Also I do not mean for this idea to disregard the professional field of Doctors. God can & will use a variety of means to heal a person. Only God can evaluate our personal needs. However I am not in the medical field so I will be addressing issues from what I find in the Scriptures in hopes to increase our faith (mine as well) to what God can do. I ask that you seek His will for what ever your needs may be and follow his leading. He will not steer you wrong. This site just shows us options.
*Death of Elisha 2 Kings 13: 14-21
14 Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. Then Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, “O my father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen!”
15 And Elisha said to him, “Take a bow and some arrows.” So he took himself a bow and some arrows. 16 Then he said to the king of Israel, “Put your hand on the bow.” So he put his hand on it, and Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands. 17 And he said, “Open the east window”; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot”; and he shot. And he said, “The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance and the arrow of deliverance from Syria; for you must strike the Syrians at Aphek till you have destroyed them.” 18 Then he said, “Take the arrows”; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground”; so he struck three times, and stopped. 19 And the man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times.”
20 Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year. 21 So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Lets grow together.
