I do not know how I was counting in my last report on this, it seemed off when I read it, but updated now for today. I started this challenge on Oct. 18. and I have not lost physical pounds to a great amount. only 22#, However there are some physical changes that are noticeable. (if men are reading this I am embarrassed) I noticed when I lay in the tub that my stomach is submerged in water & not floating on the top out of water. I noticed my legs in my pants have a lot more room. My waist is not as tight but I do not think I am a size smaller. I must have just wore them more snug refusing to go up a size.
Remember I was not going to do a drastic weight removal. my carb allowance is much higher than most keto people. I allow myself 35 but I generally do not reach that amount. seems I stay around 25. My calorie count comes in around 1000 on most days. I have a top number of 1400.
I do not like to add and get actual numbers anymore, after Muffin died I went to a system I had in place for when I knew what I was doing. I do look up things when I am not sure but I mark them on a bead counter.
I went to the craft store and bought dowel rods and wooden beads that would slide on them, so under my cupboard. I set up 3 Chinese counters. One for 40 beads, Put in sets of 20 (carb count 1 at time) one for 15 (calorie count 1 for 100 cals) and one for 10 (water count 1 at a time) My Husband helped me get the end screws that would hold up the dowels and I dig use craft glue to keep them snug on the end where the rod and screw come together.
Now when I eat some thin I know I just move a bead over. and if I do not know the count I look it up and move beads over. at the end of the day I see my progress , I do round up in my counting. when I have 170 cals I mark 200, when I have 25 I may skip it if I have rounded up before. or I move it half way across waiting for my next time knowing it counts for about 50. it is a pretty easy system to jeep yourself on track. if you moved too much in the early hours you can adjust your dinner plans.
I am not yet discouraged about the weight loss being so few, for me it is huge since I have not been able to lose on anything else I have done with my digestive problems , since Angel had her stroke, I had lost 40 before then which made me able to care for her. but my digestive disorders began on the end of that time and I was not able to continue the same one that worked so I went back up to may norm al weight.
So finding something that works for me even in low numbers is huge, .slower is better tan not at all
