Now that the long dreary days of winter are behind us and the grocery stores are returning to somewhat normal, it’s time to start moving toward better health. Hopefully, along the way, I’ll shed some weight and my body will move & feel better. I am doing low carb and intermittent fasting. My eating window is from 1:00pm until about 6:30pm. So I will be fasting for 18 1/2 hours and eating 5 1/2 hours. I am going to try to keep my carbs down around 20 - 30. Today I had early. Breakfast around 1:00, was 1 oz of sausage crumbled, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of spinach and 2 Tbsp grated cheese. Mid afternoon lemon water Late afternoon, a Diet Coke. Currently I’m not hungry, so I will probably eat a cheese stick (string cheese) and eat a few berries. Today’s carbs will be below 20. No headache, but I am so sleepy. Is anyone else working on a plan?

Thanks for the inspiration. I was doing intermittent fasting but with Jim home grazing it has been difficult. He goes back to work on Tuesday so sounds like a good day to start that up again. I am also doing a low carb, I tried Keto for 6 months but my body wont let me go back to that again. ( I went off for a month with covid-19 lockdown) Now I cant do it, makes me sick. I have a digestive issue. I tossed around Thin Healthy Mama, but cant seem to work that process out good enough. So I decided to just do low fat. I know under 50 carbs you will lose weight. So I am trying 35-40. If I do less that's ok but I do not want to top these numbers. Not as successful with Jim here, but I will do better when he is working.
I will be praying for you Cheryl. I will plug in to accountability after Tuesday.

How did the weekend go Cheryl?
I am starting tomorrow. the intermitted fasting again. my window is from 3pm to 7:30pm in which I will be eating my dinner. God told me this morning, when I spoke with Him about doing this, that I can only do it M-Th. I need to be more flexible when Jim is home. But if Jim goes to the other house to work, I can do it that day. I will still fast every day but the times may be different. They say fast 12 hrs at least. and that's pretty simple for me on a low flex day.
The first week I am not counting numbers for carbs just want to get back the fasting part.

Day 3 & 4; I managed to fast on day 3 for 18 hrs. Today it has been 17 hrs now and I am still doing ok. my eating has not been perfect though, yesterday I had some potatoes at my dinner and I know they are the starchy veg that are not really good for you to lose weight. Nonetheless I am really not counting carbs this week, just practicing my abstaining from food for a set time. for the most part I will have to watch my feeding Jim. He is so thin and needs the extra weight building carbs. Next week I will incorporate some food guidelines a bit more stricter. Today should not be too bad as I am planning a ham & cabbage scalloped dinner casserole. I know some of you do not eat pork and I have abstained also in the past on several times in my life. Yet with this corona shortages when I was shopping I picked up some. I guess this is where you trust the Lord to bless the food.
Cheryl how are you doing?
