Once a month I receive biblical news and what is on my Pastor's heart. This is one I'd like to share with any one who wants to "Stand up on your Feet" MommaDee
You might be feeling victimized, discouraged, and knocked down to the ground lately; bur let me encourage and remind you that you don't need to stay down. There is a Bible verse that's been coming up in my spirit lately, and I wanted to pass it along to you. It's found over in the new testament.
" We are troubled on every side. yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (kJV)
I believe when our heart is persuaded that we belong to the LORD JESUS, purchased by his very own life and blood, which he laid down for us, then when we're knocked down in life we will get back up on our feet and continue moving forward. The J.B. Phillips translation of this verse says it a little differently but still holds true:
" We are handicapped on all sides, but we are never frustrated; we are puzzled, but never in despair. We are persecuted, but we never have to stand it alone: we may be knocked down, but we are never knocked out!"
As long as Christians are deceived into thinking that the LORD is behind calamities, chaos, and hardships whether they be financial, physical, or relational, then they won't be exercising their authority over the enemy and keeping satan under their feet where he belongs. For example, IF I'm convinced that this sickness is from the LORD, serving HIS purpose in me or on this earth, then why would I ask HIM to heal me or for others to pray for me? Some where along the way, I think some Christians have their HEADS ON BACKWARDS. This is due to wrong teaching and a lack of renewing of the mind.
(Romans 12:2) GOD JEHEOVAH is only in control as much as we let him have the control. The Bible declares in, 1John 5:19, "the whole world is under the control of the evil one." " 2 Corinthians 4:4, the devil is called, "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not."
According to James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the FATHER of LIGHTS, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Covid-19 did NOT originate from above but was created by a fallen human race who unless repents and comes to CHRIST, then they too are governed by the evil one. "THE SOUL THAT SINNETH, SHALL DIE" Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV)
