This is the time of year that people are decorating and planning family traditions according to their beliefs about the ChristMas season. This year it may be different than past years for some of you or some may feel it is more healthy than ever to hold on to those past traditions as such a time as this. Please share your ideas for ChristMas this year.
Here is what we are doing this year:
We have decided to not put up a tree and for our Nativity we had bought last year to set outside, well we have decided to keep it inside on our family room. It is about 24inches at the tallest point by 24inches wide. So its a fair size. It takes up less room than a tree. It is a nice change. All these years we have at different times bought a new tree. costly. Last year at the end of the year we got this Nativity. It was on sale but not more than we have spent for a tree on a different year. Looking at it in our room, makes me wonder why i never thought to do this before now. For it sets the stage for the real meaning of ChristMas. It is a wonderful focus piece. i know Covid has changed our idea but i think for the better.
Our family have decided to not buy gifts for anyone but children, Yet my daughter came up with this for personal homes and i felt it was another perfect solution. a way to keep it simple. We are going to hang up socks for everyone in the home and only buy some stocking stuffer's for our household. Nothing big just simple little things & some eatables.
Doing my ChristMas this way feels so right for us. No stress and no extra work. simple and enjoyable with the real reason and absolutely no distractions for our celebration.
May your plans be as special and dear to all of you as this plan is for us this year.
