Good morning. hope you have not been in the path of this storm of snow. We were looking for daffodils to bloom a few days ago and now they are buried under 5 + inches of the heaviest snow I have seen in a long time. I was only able to move 1 shovel at a time. no pushing this stuff our of the way or off to the side it is a one pick up and move type of snow. should have made a snowman it would have been easier. Had to move a path and area for my small dog to go potty. My big dog Mr. Blessitt loves the stuff. leaps and rolls and is a happy camper but the short to the ground old lady Muffin tries to lick her way through. but won't go in anything over and inch. Corse an inch is covering her paw.
Mr. Blessitt looks like this sheep in the snow
It looks pretty but it sure wasn't on the list right now. It is suppose to stay cold for 3 days so I guess we will get to look at it again for a while before this batch melts. say a quick pray for Montel. he has to shovel out the driveway and he can get discouraged easily. Praying he will look at it as a challenge cuz grandma said it was going to be hard. show me it isn't!
I also worked my way to the chickens and moved some from their pen so they could get out of the coop today. They do not like being cooped up with Kansas, my rooster. They are waiting for our move to be free range and can hide from him while he is being busy guarding the flock.
I am starting to feel a little sore. I slipped & fell while going the doggy place EW! least Jim had cleaned up the stuff before the snow came it. So this cup-of-joe is comforting
Present temp 27 and windy. hope this wind blows this low temps out of our area quickly.
Scripture for the day from Gateway
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
Ephesians 1:7 NKJV
My reading in one portion today was Ps. 11
1 In the Lord I put my trust;
How can you say to my soul,
“Flee as a bird to your mountain”?
2 For look! The wicked bend their bow,
They make ready their arrow on the string,
That they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations are destroyed,
What can the righteous do?
4 The Lord is in His holy temple,
The Lord’s throne is in heaven;
His eyes behold,
His eyelids test the sons of men.
5 The Lord tests the righteous,
But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals;
Fire and brimstone and a burning wind
Shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the Lord is righteous,
He loves righteousness;
His countenance beholds the upright
I am glad I trust in the Lord. for even in test and trials I know where to turn for my sanctuary. Even in this disappointment of snow. God still sits on the throne. Have a blessed day and live in peace with everyone possible.
