GOD'S GRACE GIFTS: BY Pastor Todd;
Dear Partners and Friends,
When it comes to stewardship, the Bible is extremely clear. Simply said, stewardship is the process of managing something that has been entrusted to us by someone else. We are the steward or manager, not the owner. On that point, I'd like to ask about what you've been doing with the grace-gifts, or abilities, that GOD JEHOVAH has bestowed upon you. Every believer has a contribution to make to GOD's Kingdom.
Have you been contributing in any way?
Or have you been stashing your gifts down behind a bush?
Are you saving them up for a rainy day, or are you terrified of what people will think if you do step out?
READ: (PETER 4:10,11 (KJV).
It's interesting to note that when everyone "pitches in" and uses the gifts that the LORD has bestowed upon us, then everyone benefits. Not only are the recipients of the gifting blessed, but the giver is also fulfilled and encouraged as a result of ministering to others. READ: (LUKE 6:38)
in HIS PARABLE OF THE TALENTS, JESUS emphasizes that the one who uses what he has been given WILL prosper, whereas the person who selfishly hides his talent WILL miss out on the blessing he could have received.
READ: (MATTHEW 25:14-30).
Did you notice how the person who chose to conceal their talent was described as evil and slothful?
Fear was their justification for doing nothing.
How often do Christians succumb to fear and, as a result, freeze instead of taking action?
They hide their abilities rather than putting them to good use. Consequently, no one comes out on top. This void, which their grace-gift could have filled, is often left unfilled. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. The piece of the puzzle that was required to complete the picture is missing. Whatever we try to replace it with doesn't appear to work. It all boils down to each member of the body doing their part and understanding their importance.
I've lately been reading through the book of ROMANS, and it's interesting to note when GOD bestows grace-gifts on his sons and daughters, HE has specific expectations in mind. A grace gift endowment, anointing, or talent is something that has been given to us rather than something we have earned; it is something that has been entrusted to our care by someone else.
READ: ROMANS 12:4-8 (NKJV).
It's worth nothing that the "gifts vary according to the grace". This implies that we were not all anointed, talented, or called to accomplish the same thing. However, each of us has been "gifted" by GOD's grace to do something is and then stepping out and doing it can be challenging but not impossible. There are seven grace-gifts stated in this particular passage:
" Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Encouragement, Giving, Leadership and Compassion".
Some people refer to the seven things mentioned in this passage as "motivational gifts". "A motivational gift, " I heard someone say, "is the underlying driving force that causes you to do the things you do the way you do them".
Have you ever wondered how some people can be so enthusiastic about getting up and doing to work in the morning?
It's not something they dread, but rather something they look forward to. Now I realize that not everyone seems to feel the same way. According to Gallup, an American analytics and advisory firm recognized for its global public opinion polls, " only 15% of the world's one billion full-time workers engaged at work. This indicates that a staggering 85% of people are dissatisfied with their jobs".
