Good afternoon. I think. it has been a rugged 2 weeks here. first the car problem, stranded, towed home cost of a new battery & it still has ignition problems.
Next my dishwasher malfunctions and dumps a lake in my home which covered not only my kitchen where it was safe & easy to clean up it progressed to cover the whole dinning room, the hall way and half the bathroom. the water was sitting on top of the carpet like a lake. what a shock. Thank the Lord we had to get up at 3 am instead of 5. Jim got called into work early. which was a fluke cuz he was home in an hour after the person who was not coming in showed up. then Jim returned to work at 7. Not much sleep for him and he has gotten sick but wont slow down due to our mess here. Not to mention OT at the shop, (Which by the way, Thank you for the prayers. he is off sat)
Another praise it stopped before the living room, which held the boxes I have packed & stacked, 18 inches from where the flood ended it stretch with the spongy padding.
Now we have tore up all the carpet and padding and have dried up the floor. an expensive cost to fix this home up for a sale, but we had no choice. Prayers for the most economical fix that will be nice for the new owners. Jim does not like the vinyl flooring and thinks wood is the way to go. although I agree & love wood, the new home we are buying has a real nice vinyl floor that has a good wood appearance and looks like hard wood unless you really take a look. I think the cost outweighs the problem. we are not rich and even though I would love to do this for someone I do not know, it is more than we can afford. Not sure it would bring the sale price up any. you will still have people bargaining for a sales price. pray Jim can be satisfied and do what we can in his "doing-it-right mentality".
Good news is we go to sign the papers on the house May 4th, so the moving and heavy energy covering is on my body & Jim's is needed. James said he will help so praying this works well. Jim wants to buy a trailer with our income tax return. pray he finds a good buy and one he will be able to use later.
God has been doing a lot of speaking to me during this season of storms. and I know there is a rainbow that follows. the storm will continue until we have the house we live in sold but I am praying for a good eye of the storm in which we can float through in peace.
Thank you all for carrying us when we were so beat up. and for the prayers to include the full desire of God in our walk into a new home with a downstairs bedroom. I think since he gave us two up for guest staying, it is better than all one floor as it is less room in the main floor to move in which makes it better to clean . cuz it is like a one bedroom home for me. who would have thought my older years would be so active in new directions
Please continue to pray for our ways of fellowship. that we can find a church. I know that must sound silly. course there are lots of churches. certainly one will work!!! Yet we have been put into the last two churches to love the people and then later asked to show them what God is saying according to His Word. Finding out that they do not care about what God says and do not want to change, thus tearfully we are left leaving. I need people who care about the Bible and to live it best they can. None are to be perfect but leadership is responsible to be good shepherds and follow God's ways and do their best to walk as Jesus did. We can handle a learning and growing congregation if the leaders are teaching from God's word not from social acceptance of the worlds ways. Thus in this small area, we are left with social circles more than devoted followers. The people are not being taught. Too much yeast has crept into the church and growing rapidly. In fear you think we are being judgmental, which I have left that for God to decide, We just want to find a church that wants to & tries to live the Bible. Jesus said he did not change one letter of the laws and only added forgiveness, love & grace to be able to live them. sigh.... may we find a home church. or fellowship.
Well I have rambled on long enough to get you all updated. which I could know your needs to be there for you. I can only pray and trust the Holy Spirit to guie me in praying for all of you.
